We are excited to announce that a newly acquired ambulance has been officially placed in service, further enhancing our ability to provide top-quality emergency medical services to Ridgely and the surrounding communities.
The new ambulance, a 2016 Ram 5500 Type 1, was purchased from the Singerly Volunteer Fire Company in Elkton, MD. Upon acquisition, it was repainted and lettered to seamlessly match our existing apparatus, ensuring a uniform and professional appearance for our fleet.
Equipped with a full complement of basic life support equipment. The ambulance boasts features designed to improve patient care and safety. Among its notable additions are a cutting-edge stair chair and a power lift stretcher. These tools not only enhance our ability to assist patients efficiently but also reduce the physical stress and potential injury risks for our dedicated members.
The addition of this ambulance underscores our commitment to maintaining the long-standing tradition of providing high-quality EMS services to our community. It also represents our ongoing effort to meet the needs of those we serve.
As always, we rely on the dedication of volunteers to carry out our mission. If you have an interest in supporting your community by becoming an emergency medical responder, we invite you to join us.
