At the Ridgely Volunteer Fire Department, we live by a simple motto: “Train, train, and never stop training.” The safety of our community and our firefighters depends on preparation, knowledge, and continuous learning.
This week, we were proud to partner with Delmarva Power, who joined us for a specialized training session focused on electrical safety and best practices. As first responders, encountering power lines, electrical hazards, and energy-related risks is a common part of the job. Thanks to Delmarva Power’s expertise, our team learned new and innovative ways to stay safe while responding to incidents involving electrical systems.
These training sessions are not only a reminder of the importance of staying sharp but also a testament to the incredible partnerships we have within our community.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Delmarva Power for sharing their knowledge and helping us improve our response capabilities. When we train, we’re not just keeping our team safe—we’re ensuring a safer and stronger community for everyone.
